Zhoujiadu
The Killing RoomZhoujiadu is a location in Pudong connected to the investigation through Jiang Baofu’s account of repeated groups of bodies. His estimate of nine bodies there helped reveal that the deaths extended across multiple sites and involved women alone.
Place in Jiang Baofu’s Account
While answering questions from Li Yan, Jiang Baofu recalled several occasions involving groups of bodies. He placed one group at Zhabei and another in Zhoujiadu, which he described as being in Pudong. After initially estimating eight or nine bodies at Zhoujiadu, he settled on nine.
The Expanding Count
The Zhoujiadu estimate formed part of a larger reckoning. Jiang Baofu said there had been fifteen bodies at Zhabei and connected the other groups to the bodies already found at Lujiazui. Taken together, the figures brought the known total under discussion to fifty-four. When Li Yan asked whether the victims were all women, Jiang confirmed that they were.
Investigative Significance
Zhoujiadu matters in the exchange not as an independently described setting but as one point in a widening geography of deaths. Its mention turns the investigation from a count associated with a single discovery into evidence of repeated groups across separate locations, while Jiang Baofu’s uncertain estimates preserve the limits of what he could recall.
